# FlowAI

> FlowAI is a Linear-style project management app with an AI agent built in. Create, assign, move and search tasks in plain English — with exactly the permissions you'd have clicking through the UI.

FlowAI is a web app for teams that plan work in projects and tasks. Alongside a conventional board and table UI, it has an agent that takes requests in natural language — "assign the checkout bug to Rahul, move it to In Progress and make it urgent" — and carries them out as the same actions a person would take in the UI.

## How it works

1. You describe what you want in plain English, from anywhere in the app.
2. The agent resolves the projects, people and tasks you named. It never assumes IDs, and asks a clarifying question when a name is ambiguous.
3. It runs one or more business actions (for example createTask, assignTask, moveTask, searchTasks) and streams each step live: what it is looking up, which action it is running, and the result.
4. Task and project views update immediately, without a refresh.

## Security model

- The model never touches the database. It can only call named business actions, which run through the same backend service layer as the UI.
- Every action is re-checked against the caller's role on the server; the model cannot grant itself access.
- Identity comes from the signed-in session, never from the model or the client.
- Every tool input is validated server-side, whatever the model produced.

### What is FlowAI?

FlowAI is a Linear-style project management app with an AI agent built in. You can work in a fast board and table UI, or tell the agent what you want in plain English and watch it create, assign, move and search tasks for you.

### What can I ask FlowAI to do?

Create one task or several at once, update titles, priorities, due dates and tags, assign or reassign people, move tasks between Todo, In Progress and Done, search tasks by description, person, project or status, comment on tasks, and create, rename or delete projects.

### Can FlowAI do something I'm not allowed to do?

No. Every action the agent takes goes through the same server-side role checks as a click in the UI. Viewers can ask questions and search; only roles that can edit tasks can make the agent edit them. If you ask for something your role doesn't allow, FlowAI tells you why instead of failing silently.

### Does the AI have direct access to my data?

No. The model never queries the database. It can only call named business actions such as createTask or moveTask, and the server re-validates every input, resolves every ID and takes your identity from your session — never from the model.

### Which AI models does FlowAI use?

FlowAI currently runs on Gemini 3.6 Flash and Ministral 3B, and you can choose the model per conversation.

### What happens when my request is ambiguous?

FlowAI asks instead of guessing. If two projects match the name you used, for example, it lists them as buttons so you can pick the right one in a single click.

### How do I bring my team in?

Create a workspace, then invite people by email or with a shareable link. Each invite carries a role, from Admin down to Viewer, and that role decides what both the person and their FlowAI agent can do.
